- Silky Vanilla Panna Cotta
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 (1/4 oz) envelope unflavored gelatin
- 3 tbsp cold water
- Fresh berries or fruit compote for serving
Instructions

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water. Let it stand for 5 minutes to soften.

In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the cream is hot but not boiling.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the softened gelatin until it completely dissolves.

Pour the mixture into 4-6 individual serving dishes or ramekins.

Refrigerate the panna cotta for at least 4 hours, or until set.

When ready to serve, top the panna cotta with fresh berries or fruit compote of your choice.
